Canvas
Canvas: Widens the horizon of stage designers
IBENA feels quite at ease with these heavy textile fabrics.
As the name says – horizon fabric is used on stage for horizons, usually hand-painted. Since a finish with flame retardant chemicals would impair the distribution of colours the fabric itself is not flame-retardant. However, flame protection additives are added to the paint to ensure the finished stage scenery is again flame-retardant.
These heavy fabrics made of cotton or linen are also frequently used as dance floors, and are prepared by the users with a special back coating. IBENA canvas is made of polyester and perfectly suited for transfer printing and as canvas stretched on a wooden frame.
Canvas Gewebe/fabric: 100% Baumwolle/Cotton, 400g/qm (12oz/sq yd), 300cm (118''), flammhemmend/flame retardant DIN 4102 B1
